Hold an unlighted match at the fingertips, gesture with it and it lights up magically!

Many effects are possible. For instance you can remove a match from any matchbox, toss the box in the air and light the match apparently striking it against the falling box! 

Or you can show a match and light it striking it against the table top, against a bottle, against the wall, in fact, in almost any way you want!

 Afghan Bands

The magician exhibits a velvet bag from which he removes six coloured ribbon rings. Two children go on stage to assist him. Each child is given two rings to hold while the magician himself retains two rings. After some gags and the usual magic words, the first child finds that his two rings are linked together while that of the other child have mysteriously become one big ring! The magician meanwhile has two separate rings.

 The wonder worker now collects all the ribbons and puts them in the bag. One child is given a magic wand to hold, the other child holds on to one side of the bag and the magician holds on to the other side. The first child waves his magic wand over the bag and utters the magic words (plenty of scope again for by-play and gags) then the bag is ripped apart and the magician and second child walk to the other end of the stage. Magically, all the ribbon rings are now linked together forming a beautiful finale to the routine!

Animated Handkerchief

This is a pocket version of the Dancing Handkerchief!

The magician removes a white handkerchief from his breast pocket, displays it freely and ties a knot in one corner to form a head.

The hanky immediately comes to life, becomes rigid, dances about and jumps high into the air!

After a host of comical antics, the handkerchief is finally "dehypnotised", the knot undone, the cloth folded up and then replaced in the pocket!

Animated Mouse on Wand, New

New creation! Show a cute little sponge mouse and a wooden rod. The mouse is balanced magically on the rod then, as this is is raised, the mouse runs up  to the other end! Turn the rod around and raise it again ..... and the mouse turns around and runs up again ....and again .... and again!! Each time you raise the rod, the mouse will turn around and run along it!

There are no strings, wires or any physical attachments at all. There is nothing to get out of order and no replacements to make. You can use the rod as a magic wand and when you want to present the effect, just bring out the mouse. You do not ever have to feed the mouse!

We supply a very, very cute sponge mouse, precisely and lovingly handcrafted by our talented and lovely artist Lucie, and the special "wooden rod" 40 cm. which is long. Animated Jumbo Mouse on Giant Wand

Here is a very cute novelty.

A large sponge mouse seems to come alive and runs up a wooden stick or wand again and again!

The mouse turns around when it reaches the other end and runs up the stick as it is raised again. This is the jumbo version of our Animated Mouse on Wand.

You receive a very, very cute handcrafted jumbo sponge mouse (four times the size of our standard animated mouse) and a special rod 55 cm. long disguised as a wooden stick (or wooden wand) . The cutest touch is the turning-around movement of the mouse! It makes the creature seem really alive! 

In your performance, you can hold a small piece of fake cheese (supplied) at the other end of the stick and make the mouse run towards it! Another idea is to change the cheese into the mouse using perhaps a change bag and at the end of the routine, change the mouse back into cheese again!

Ball & Cheese to Mouse

Show a white ball and a small piece of cheese and explain that these are very good items to catch a mouse.

Place the cheese and the ball together in the hand, make a magic pass and open the hand again. The ball and cheese have disappeared and in their place, is a very cute white mouse! 

The white ball can also be presented as a ball of mozzarella cheese while the other resembles a piece of cheddar cheese.

All the items are made of sponge and are very easy to handle. You can also use the ball to mouse in  a sponge balls routine.

For example, do the two in the hand and one in pocket ball routine with white sponge balls and as a finish, transform a white ball into a mouse!

Chinese Snow Storm

The actual Chinese Snow Storm is a beautiful paper tearing effect, adequately explained in the Tarbell Course and in one of Dai Vernon's books. It has undergone many variations in presentation and many present-day performers use just the production of the snow storm as the climax to an effect or routine. 

In effect, the magician fans his closed hand with an oriental fan and produces a huge amount of flying paper flakes which creates the illusion of a spectacular snowstorm!

Classic Dove From Silks

The magician displays a large silk foulard, gathers it up and from its folds produces a beautiful fluttering white dove!

Various combinations are possible and for an easier method, you can count and show three separate silk foulards, place them together and produce the dove! 

The apparatus supplied is standard but very nicely made and works effortlessly. You can modify it and adjust it to fit your own style. Supplied holder, pocket, silk foulard and full instructions. Use your own dove!

Cobra In Small Basket   

The spectator selects a card from a normal deck. The magician shows a small wicker basket, opens it and out pops a cobra with a miniature duplicate of the selected card in his mouth!

A small wicker basket contains a cobra inside. When the basket is opened, the snake pops up automatically with a tiny card stuck to his mouth. The basket, made of rattan,  measures roughly 12 cm. in diameter and stands 6.0 cm. high with lid on.  The cobra looks real!

Cobra In Wicker Basket 

The magician shows a small wicker basket, opens it and out pops a cobra! He places a small deck of cards in front of the cobra and replaces the lid. Next, the spectator selects a card from a normal deck. The magician then opens the basket again and this time, the cobra pops up with a small duplicate of the selected card in his mouth!

A small wicker basket contains a cobra inside. When the basket is opened, the snake pops up automatically. A small deck of cards is also supplied together with two special cards. In performance, you need use only one of the special cards. The second card enables you to change cards for a future performance. The basket is made of rattan and measures, with lid on,  roughly 20 cm. in diameter and 10 cm. in height. Supplied with a fierce- looking cobra.

Comedy Fly Swatter ~

This is a very clever and visual comedy prop ideal for the clown, the comedy magician, the children's performer & the emcee.  It will certainly get you loads of laughs!

You show an ordinary plastic fly-swatter. You pretend to see a fly zooming around. You make a swat in the air then show that there is now a dead funny-looking GIANT fly with pink/red eyes and white wings on the swatter! Funny, funny, funny and very cute!!

The swatter is about 15 inches long and the giant fly is made of sponge. The fly is really beautiful in black with white wings and pink eyes, a unique creation, each fly being painstakingly and lovingly handcrafted by our talented and lovely artist Lucie. 

You can make a buzzing noise with a joke buzzer in the mouth. Pretend to see a fly buzzing around. Suddenly, hit out at the invisible insect then show the giant fly smack in the centre of the swatter!

Dancing Butterflies

The magician shows paper cut-outs of two butterflies. He lets them go in the air and with an oriental fan, makes them come to life! As he fans them, they flitter about gracefully back and forth and all over the stage! Finally, at the end of their flight, they settle down to rest on the fan. The wonder worker removes them from the fan, and to conclude the act, he fans them once more whereupon they transform magically into hundreds of flitting butterflies!

This beautiful effect actually requires a lot of practice but the method we supply here is simple, practical and also very effective! The kit supplied consists of an oriental bamboo and paper fan, a supply of paper butterflies and full instructions. Replacement butterflies are always available.

Electronic Star Wand

This is like the Starlite Wand above. It is slightly shorter and the whole wand and star lights up with a bright red light  (with the Starlite Wand, only the star lights up).

The wand has a red handle and a crystal (transparent plastic) body and star and measures 21.5cm long. It functions on three micro batteries (easily available from watch or electronic shops).

Eternal Candle

The magician lights a candle and after a few seconds (or after having used it) blows it out.  To everyone's surprise, the candle suddenly lights up again! Lighted Cigarette to Ribbon Cascade

This is a very pretty transformation of a lit cigarette into a long stream of ribbon! Do some simple manipulations with a lighted cigarette (vanish and reproduction and acquitments) then to finish the routine, insert the lit cigarette into your closed hand and transform it into a glittering cascade of ribbon that flows out of your fist like a mini waterfall! Really beautiful!

The ribbon cascade is supplied with a special holder for keeping it securely under your jacket until required, then a simple tug and the roll is delivered in the right position into your hand!

Magic Folder

This magic folder is very useful for vanishing small and flat objects like silks, ribbons, cards and sponge balls.

Ribbon Cascade from Hand

Show your hand clearly empty, make a grab in the air and instantly a long stream of glittering ribbon streaks out of your fist!

This beautiful production can be a fitting climax to a manipulative routine but it is also suitable as a magical effect by itself. The ribbon produced can be used as the cover for a steal of a bouquet of flowers, a dove, a bird-cage, a huge fountain of silks, etc.

Sack Escape

The magician's assistant is placed in a large satin cloth sack, the top is pulled tightly closed and tied with a rope and the spectator himself puts as many knots as he likes on the rope. No doubt about it ..... the assistant is securely tied up in the bag! A folding screen is then placed around the prisoner but almost instantly, the assistant makes her escape!

The sack works in the same way as the classic Mailbag Escape. It can be thoroughly examined but there is no trickery to be found. The magician can also change places with his assistant, the latter escaping and the former ending up inside the tied bag! 

It is also very effective in a spirit act with the assistant or the magician dematerialising and materializing repeatedly in and out of the bag! The bag is sturdily made with heavy satin material and looks really good! This is a lightweight illusion and presented well, will be a hit in any programme!

 Silks from Newspaper

You need some silks for your next effect? Perhaps for the Crystal Silk Cylinder? Well, you can pick them up from your table (like an ordinary person) or you can produce them from nowhere (like a magician!). 

Open out a sheet of newspaper and display it on both sides.  Punch a hole in the paper and a silk materialises! Punch another hole somewhere else and another silk comes out! Need another silk? Make another hole and there you are! Now..... isn't this much more magical than picking them up from the table?

After the production use the silks for another trick.  Some magicians produce the silks from the newspaper then bunch the paper up and produce a dove also! A nice combination! This new gimmick will hold about four to five 30 cm. or three to four 45 cm. silks or up to six 45 cm. diamond-cut silks.

Silk from Nowhere

The magician shows his hands clearly empty then reaches out and a large silk materialises instantly at his fingertips like magic!

The trick is self-working and the silk appears instantly at the fingertips. The effect makes a perfect combination to our classic Dove From Silks. As an example, show your hands empty, produce the silk magically, then gather it up and produce the dove! Beautiful!

Silk Sensation

The magician shows a rolled-up paper tube. He unrolls it and shows it empty on both sides then lets it roll up again. Now he inserts a white silk into one end of the tube, then holds the tube up to his lips and blows ..... and a coloured silk flies out!

The white silk has changed colour!

The tube is immediately unrolled and shown on both sides again!

Spirit Silk

Two plastic tumblers are shown resting on a small tray. Each tumbler contains a coloured silk. The magician says he will make the silks change places. He passes the tray behind his back and the silks are seen tonhave changed places. He repeats this a few times but the audience are far from convined. They know he is only turning the tray around! 

Feigning indignation, the magician says he will eliminate all doubts by making a silk jump visibly from one tumbler to another! The audience selects a tumbler and the wonder worker causes the silk to really jump from one tumbler to the other!

The trick is extremely easy to do and is very visual and also comical! There are no tricky moves involved and the silk is seen to actually jump from one tumbler to the other! The apparatus consists of the tumblers, tray and silks.

Sword Production

Produce this fierce-looking sword anytime in your act! 

The blade collapses telescopically! You can produce the sword from thin air after stealing it, or you can make the production from a bunch of silks, from behind a fan, from a production box (Square Circle, Mirror Box, Drawer Box)

SY EZ Dove Production

The magician shows a large silk foulard front and back then gathers up the material and from its folds, produces immediately a fluttering, live, white dove! If you use two sets, you can produce two doves, one at the beginning of your show and one to close your show, really fantastic!

Dove from Silks is by now a classic effect. What we offer here is a simple-to-do sure-fire method (automatic steal!!) for the magician who is not able to put in the many hours of practice required to master this effect.

The Tarbell Cone is a classic versatile apparatus for producing, vanishing and transforming small and light objects like, silks, ribbons, cards, ropes, etc. They can be used in many tricks and the following are some examples.
